Why would anyone want to drill for more oil?

It wont drop the prices at all. If we do pull out a few million barrels it will take at least 6 years to get any oil production, and a few million barrels will only last a few days....maybe even hours. America has a 20 billion barrel a day addiction right now, its just getting worse. Are you willing to pay 10 cents less now so your kids can suffer when we actually run out?? Lets use all this money for oil drilling and use it to build wind and solar farms that will eventually pay for themselves? Pros and Cons? What do you think?

We should have drilled years ago, but you liberals have made it impossible, so we need to drill now before the gas is 10 bucks a gallon.
