  1. Good question! Such a boring city!

  2. Boring is a state of mind and if you are an open minded sort of dude, you will find lots to interest you in Regina. Both Regina and Saskatchewan have played important roles in the history of this country and continue to do so. Native Indians, the R.C.M.P., and farming - Saskatchewan is properly referred to as the Breadbasket of Canada, have all played an integral role.

Regina will not have all the glitz and glamour of a major city. It is not a major city. It is a very pleasant small city with some good schools, a good university, good museums, good art shows and shops and best of all,it has a lot of good and interesting people. It is not the rat race that Toronto, Montreal or even Calgary can sometimes feel like. If you are looking to get out of a rat race, then Regina has more to offer you than it does to someone who is in love with that type of life style.

If you are into the bar scene there are lots of bars to choose from. There is a casino.

Definitely not to be forgotten - it is the home of the Saskatchewan RoughRiders Football team.

I have travelled all over this continent and I never found a place that I didn't walk away form knowing more than I did when I had arrived, where I didn't meet people that I am glad I met and that definitely includes Regina.

  3. Boring place perhaps, but have you ever been in LeRoy or even Humboldt or Hudson Bay, Sask.(or any of a thousand or more small towns and villages on the prairies)? The bright lights of Regina would certainly be alluring to me at least.

  4. Regina is in an interesting location.  You are close by to Qu'Appelle and the haunted Sanitorium, you have Moose Jaw not too far away, you have the town of Roleau (where Corner Gas is filmed) Southwest of town.

You have a lot of very very very friendly people, and the river and wide open spaces.  It's very authentic atmosphere, non-touristy and truly Canadian.

And seriously, Canada is famous for places that are incredibly meaningful and unparallel to any other spot in the world, but in a cultural and subtle way you cannot demonstrate on a postcard.
