Why would anyone who claims to be a Christian want to trust the Social working system?

It is as plain day that the state services are geared toward controlling the upbringing of your children, it is also clear that those who oppose this "training" will pay for it one way of the other. This type of control and abuse of power is not only apparent in the USA, but world wide.

Please let me know what you think of the social service system, not what you think of my question. K?

Thanks.

  1. The life of Christ is clearly more socialist in nature than capitalistic.  Didn't he turn the money tables over that were in the temple?  There are numerous examples of Christ admonishing those who clung to worldly possessions and failed to help the poor.

It is disingenuous to equate socialism (most of Western Europe and Canada) with being somewhat evil because the government cares for the welfare of their populace.

  2. I think they are a lot of social services that extend beyond what the state and federal government offers.  More than likely there are a number of social services with which your place of worship partners.  There are also many faith-based social service programs.  I'd suggest you explore those options.

  3. I'm assuming you are really referring to the "Child Welfare System"  Which is a part of the social welfare system - but is a specific sub-component.  The child welfare system is set up to protect children from abuse.  This abuse occurs in families of all faiths - Abuse is a real issues (sexual, physical, emotional, neglect and more).  If you doubt the reality that children are killed by parents I invite you to look at this site for some examples:

    http://pediatrics.about.com/od/childabus...

Now in fact MANY of the child welfare programs (contrary to popular belief most child welfare is outsources) are religious affiliated - most being christian (catholic, lutheran, latter day saints, etc.)

    DA

  4. I think a better question would be: "Who cares what a Christian or any other person that bases who he is on religion thinks of anything?"

Time to grow up and get educated. What did Adam and Eve get told not to do?

    Eat from the tree of....Knowledge?

Yes, please keep staying ignorant, God loves it.

  5. This question is phrased funny. I'm not sure I get what you mean. Are you asking about social services that countries offer or a socialist government. I'm not to sure that I've been abused by the social service system in America.

  6. Sounds like you know a bit more than me about the social system. I always thought it to be working well in the us, given the challenges they must face everyday.
