Why would he still want to be friends after a failed attempt at a relationship?

Ok so me and this guy use to date way back when ..Didn't work out ;miscommunication.. He liked me and i offered friendship...Then he started to hate me and then i missed him and told him iliked him..He wanted friendship....Then he calls me and asked me do i talk about and i said no...Then he stops calling me and messing with my friend..Then he stops talking to my friend and now he wants to be friends..He introduced me to his male frendss..Hooked me up on dates

i dont know,but to what u stated here this guy seems confused or he isn't ready for a relationship.i would say u can have a social friendship with him thats all,you can learn from this guy.to my observation this guy wanna get under your pants n friendship is a good way to start
