Why would i bleed for at least two weeks during my period?

i had my period as scheduled then two weeks later i started bleeding again and have been bleeding for two more weeks and still going. i have not had this problem before. my period has been regular but heavy for years. i am getting concerned!

I had a similar problem where I had a 15 day period and then five days later I got another 15 day period. So I went to the doctor and she didn't say anything was wrong. She just decided to put me on the pill because it was so random and not fun at all. So, I'd say go to the doctor and talk it through with her. At least from my experience, it turned out to be nothing. Good luck:)

i don't know your age but two things to consider: endometriosis and fibroids.

i was diagnosed with endometriosis when i was 11; fibroids when i was 24.  at the time, most docs REFUSED to accept that such a young woman could suffer either of those problems.

Get checked for endometriosis, i have this condition, started out the same way as you, eventually my periods would last for three months at a time.  Before you hit that stage, save yourself the trouble and see a doctor.  (It's painful when you hit that stage!!!)  Good luck!!!
