Why would it be dangerous for a diver to take a hot shower after a dive?

  1. Any time you do something that messes with the circulatory system after a dive, it's potentially dangerous. The hot shower can cause expansion and contraction of blood vessels. Any micro bubbles present could cause a blockage. You're better to wait about 2 hours after diving within NDL, before taking that shower.
