Why would it matter if Obama in fact IS Muslim?

It does matter because Obama, has not owned up to his roots and what he has been or believed in the past. Truly this is dishonesty and should disqualify him from any office,

It does not matter to me. I'm not voting for him because he is not ready, and i don't like the policies he has so far come out with.

It matters if he is and he's trying to hide it.  I wouldn't have a problem if he admitted it (assuming it's true)

Obama can be anything he wants and it doesn't matter. What matters is admitting to it, living it, and not backing off just because he wants something and showing a different face so he can get it (I'm not saying Obama is a closet Muslim, what I've written is how I would want anyone to be). I can vote for anyone who is honest, has integrity, and character. Just be sure to show me the real you and then let me decide.

The constitution of America does NOT state that a president has to be of a certain religion.  It states the minimum age, the time one has to have lived in the U.S. and where the person has to have been born(on U.S. soil), but there is nothing about religion.  I don't care what religion a candidate has, the only things I care about are a good plan and that I can see that the candidate loves his/her country......
