Why would my camera take fuzy pictures?

i have a fuji finepix s5200 and no matter what i do the pictures always come out fuzzy. i know its not the digital zoom because i have it turned off. it just stumps me of y it does that.

  1. Either you have the camera set for macro (flower icon) or you are moving the camera immediately after pressing the buttons.

    The macro setting has the camera focusing only on subjects that are very close.  Normal photo subjects will all be out of focus.

    All compact digitals have some shutterlag.  That means, after you press the button, there's a pause before the image is captured.  If you move within the next few seconds after you "take the picture", you'll capture the blur of the camera movement.

  2. Either you're having problems holding the camera still, using too slow of a shutter speed, or having problems with focusing.

  3. Sounds like a focusing problem with the lens. Check to see that your lens is not set to macro, (close up) when shooting at a normal distance. The zoom lens track may need adjustment or replacement.
