Why would my daughters very old & established wisteria suddenly begin to die? ?

  1. if you named me "very old" or "established wisteria", and I was your daughter, I would die too or at least run away from home


  2. All plants have a life span and it's probably come to the end. They're usually grafted onto rootstock so you won't be able to take cuttings. Surprise her with a new one perhaps a slightly different colour.

  3. The weather could be the issue, my neighbour has wisteria and it has died off to this year. All the heavy rain and lack of sunshine is gonna cause a lot of plants trouble.  

  4. it could be 101 different reasons but the most likely is lack of food as they are a very hungry plant, i have tried to grow 3 in my garden an each has failed due to the very claggy clay soil i have , i hope the sight listed will help you out
