Question:

Why would my knee be hurting?

The pain isn't killing me or anything, I don't even need to take a pain killer but it irritates me a little when I start to workout and when I walk.

I do an hour of cardio everday. I don't play any sports. Am I doing something wrong at the gym? Could I be using a bad form while I jog? Am I jogging too hard?

Anyway I just wanted to find out if I should be concerned with my knee or if it's just because my legs aren't used to running very often.

Should I buy something to put on it so when I go to the gym it doesn't bother me on the treadmill?

  1. First, you should check it out with a doctor.  You may just need to wrap or brace it - but, knee trouble is something you do not want!

Second, try something less jarring than jogging.  Walk, swim, whatever, until the pain goes away. Injuries won't heal in your current workout schedule.  Ice it after your workout for about 20 minutes. You can go back to a more rigorous workout once you've healed.

    Good luck!

  2. you could get knee warmers

my mom uses the and it helps her

  3. well it sounds to me as cartilidge trouble, however i am not a doctor and i advise you to see a doctor, cartilidge can be annoying and if left unfixed you may have to get crutches for 6 weeks or so......see a doctor!

  4. Your knee might just not be used to the added stress, you may have torked it a little and now it is trying to heal, honestly there are lot of possibility, but without know you and your information I can't say for sure.

Personally I wear a Knee Cap brace. It is a small bar like brace that you place under your knee cap and it helps to hold it in place while you are moving around. This has helped me when I suffered from similar issue.
