Why would my photos from my albumn disappera?

pictures are gone that were there the other day and now gone why is that?

possibly, that some album viewers, use thumbnail shortcuts to images, not original, and if originals were moved, then thumbnail would have error, not sure which album is used, but you may try update scan of files, also if you know of the name of picture, run search on drive to find,

reminder to backup images on cd/dvd,
