The ignorance of some of these people amazes me.

There's a BIG genocide being undertaken in the Darfur region of Sudan at the moment.  Over 1 million have been killed, and sadly, the world's really given a blind eye to this.  Most people being persecuted in that region would love to flee...to anywhere.  The ones who come to the U.S. are the very lucky, very few who could afford a way out.

Genocide is on a SMALL scale in some parts of africa and they are afraid for their lives and families....better way for life for themselves and their families alike.

Sudan is overpopulated.  There isn't enough food, or enough water.  The political situation is unstable.  There's no economic opportunity.  Would you rather live there or in a developed western country?
