It all depends on the person sometimes people don't want to eat a nice fancy meal. At times you just want a good ole mad-fast sloppy burger. That's why fast food restaurants were made. i Will admit at times i just want some McDonald's fries or some fully loaded fries from checkers and at others i do want a nice fancy meal.

It all depends on the mood of eating, if people want to get the fast food or pay less.  It all depends.

That is because Mc Donalds is popular in many countries.  People can eat wherever they wish to eat.   It is their choice and if Mc Donalds is what they chose, then that is their choice of foods for themeselves.

There is nothing wrong with Mc Donalds, people just prefer fast foods sometimes, and that includes the people in Spain.

The economy is rough right now and being able to afford dinner for tonight and tomorrow night is just as important as the night you want to eat at a Spanish Resteraunt. So I would say $$$ problems, or the just prefer what they know:)

McDonalds is cheaper, plus somebody may like the food there better, not caring for his/her health. Or maybe somebody who is starving doesn't have time to go to a nice restaurant, and choses McDonalds. But if that person is free, then choosing McDonalds is th wrong choice. Maybe it's the addiction to fried foods.

Well, maybe they just don't like Spanish, and in most cases. The dollar menu helps out the pockets plenty. I myself don't encourage MC Donald's but when I'm strapped for cash and need a quick bite dollar menu helps a bunch. This applies to a plethora of fast food chains. " 99cent 2 tacos at jack in the box", and the "Whopper Jr" at Burger King, common. Ask any college student or high school student.

Simply put, its cheap and fast. Although there are many taco stands in La,  that offer quick Mexican delights for a fare price. They still cannot compete with the multi-billion dollar chains at every 5 blocks of city surrounded.
