Why would someone leave you if....?

they have been with you for two years, they have done a lot of things in the relationship to mess some things up including some trust. They realized what they did, they came to ME and said they owe me a thousand apologies and basically knew everything they did wrong after not realizing what they have done wrong for so long. And now they want to leave me because they say they have done too much damage. I dont understand if I am willing to stay and let them correct it, why would they want to leave me still? Just want some opinions thank you.

Sounds like he wants to start fresh with someone else and do it right. That he treated you badly, learned from it, and changed his ways.  Now he'll meet some twirp and she'll get the new "good guy".  It happened to me.  He's still married to the twirp.

He will think his done to much wrong, and may be afriad he'll do it again

maybe they feel so bad about it that they think they dont deserve you anymore.

poor communication maybe.  or maybe youre now a reminder of his mistakes and his ego/pride has gotten in the way.  never having learned how to apologize in actions following his words.  lazy maybe.

tired of trying.  maybe it's just not meant to be.

"alot of things"

have a one on one conversation and put everything in the past"offically"
