  1. Here's your first physics lessen: A body in motion tends to stay in motion, including you! If your moving at 50 mph and the car hits something head on, your going from 50 mph to a "dead" stop almost instantly. You ARE going to fly forward, over, under or through what ever is in front of you. If your just a measly 120 lbs your moving forward with more than 2000 f/p of force. Even at 10 mph, you could hit the windshield hard enough to crack your skull.

Would you rather be a little sore or dead?

  2. because you would be secure if the car rolls, head on impact. if the cars rolls, you'll be rolling with the car when your strapped then being bounced around inside the car. so by this means, you're reducing the chance of being critically injured.

  3. DO YOU REALLY THINK THE SEATBACKS WILL STOP YOU?  You will fly forward, break the seat in front of you and smash that person into the wheel or dash, killing them and maybe yourself.  If you don't do it for yourself, do it for the person riding in front of you.

  4. If your car rolls over (it happens more often than you think, I drive a tow truck and see it a lot) then you'll get thrown all over the car. If the window is open or breaks then you can be thrown from the car and have it roll on top of your head (i've seen it happen). The front seats also tend to fold either forward of backward in a crash, allowing enough room for somebody to fly out the front.

Also, if you're hit in the side you'll be thrown to the other side of the car and it's gonna be your face going through a window that's gonna slow you down if you don't have a seat belt to do it.

If you get a chance, go to a junkyard where you can buy used parts and take a look at the smashed up cars, you'll understand how a seat belt can help.

  5. If 90 percent of Americans that road in the back seats buckled up, we will prevent more than 5,500 deaths and 132,000 injuries annually.

  6. Because it saves your life plain and simple. I thought ILL. was like the other states and if it was there it has to be worn. Another thing cuz is not a word it is spelled because when I is use to mean your self it is a capital letter. The first letter of the first word in a sentence is to be capitalized.

  7. For the second answerer, how did she talk to the dead?

Your right it should be a weight, but in all honesty your better off. You'd be amazed at how a 400lb man can some how squeeze through that little gap between the ceiling and the front seats. HA!

For the most part I'd say its fine unless you get hit from the side, or your in the middle seat not to wear one, but your better off with one. I'd take the broken collar bone from the jerk forward and back, rather than the scared up face from the windsheild glass.

Buckle up. Weight is okay, but seriously why risk it?

  8. I knew someone who thought the same thing, until he was in the backseat of a car, got in an accident and flew out of the windshield and died. It is just a smart idea even if it is a 1 in billion chance that something may happen to you

  9. If you are in a head on collision you just might go straight up, breaking your neck on the roof of the car.  Also, a lot of people get killed by being thrown from the car and being rolled over on.
