Why would someone take pictures of my house?

Question

This morning my neighbor told me that a man in a white car came and took pictures of my house. he never knocked or anything.

what does this mean?

driver. If so the attorney for the injured may have sent a

privite investigator out, to take pictures of asset information.

Maybe a realitor in the area canvassing for prospects.

Keep an eye out, and have you neighbor the next time

Well a lot of times the insurance company will come and do that. Was there a hail storm recently? After a major hail storm the insurance will come and snap a photo.. Also they do that if you are looking to switch carriers.. I assume this is your house and not a rental. I wouldn't bee too conserned.. It was probablt insurance..

Don't worry about it that much. If you go on to Google Maps, and put in an address, there will be pictures of roads and houses and buildings, he could have been photographing for that. He could have also been from the state or county taking pictures prior to raising your taxes. It could also be for your homeowners insurance company, prior to raising your insurance; or your mortgage company may have been sold and the new company wants pictures of all its assets..

Don't worry about it...I saw a guy take pictures of mine 20 years ago.

we had this happen to us recently....and we confronted the man he informed us that our mortage company had switched and they were taking over and for whatever reasons they have to photograph the clients home....he even showed us all the documents so it wasnt a lie....this may be the case with you....hope this helps

Property taxes on the way up, or your insurance is about to go up, probably.

could be that they are surveying the property for tax reasons, or maybe one of those websites like google mapping (not sure of the name it is were they offer maps with real pic)
