I'm new at this thing... like why would someone want to increase their ratio on demonoid? are there any benefits?

  1. The ratio is the amount you upload to the amount you download.

    A better ratio (over 1) means you upload more than you download, and the tracker will give you a better download speed.

    They implement this so people stop leeching and being greedy.
