Why would someone won't admit that someone else likes them? is there any reason for that?

Maybe they don't want to accept that fact. What if the person that you hated the most in the world suddenly, told to you by your friend, has a crush on you? It isn't that easy to accept something like that, especially if you guys have fought and hated each other for so long.

But that's just my opinion.

It's usually because they are afraid of rejection. They don't want to be hurt and they are usually shy and afraid that the feelings won't be returned to them.

Maybe they are shy and/or they don't like that person the same way.

The fear of being crushed if this person they really like doesn't like them back.

Shyness.

Maybe its his or her way of flirting, by leading the person on and not telling them if they like them or not.

Just wanting to keep it inside?

All of these can be reasons why.
