Why would spiders follow you into every room?

This is a weird story.I recently moved and was packing my things up.I went up stairs with my 12 year old daughter.While we were going upstairs I noticed a spider that was a little bigger than an quater size.We went into the bathroon to fill up a box the spider decided to come into that room.We took the box downstairs.Sure enough the spider was waiting for us on the same wall going up the stairs.We then proceeded to my daughter's room to gather some of her stuff.Shotly the spider decided to come in there.We went into my room where the spider continued to follow us.It stayed at the top of the door ledge and wouldn't leave.He was moving in and out of the groves.By that time my daughter and myself were scared.The spider had us trappped for 20 min.He even tried to attempt to get a closer look by webbing his way down the top of the door. We both screamed and he went back up.We finally decided to make a run for it.I have never been followed by spider.What could have caused this?

that is weird.  Maybe you were wearing a certain color or had a certain scent it liked.

Lol, that is weird! Maybe that spider had lived their for a long time and after the other owners left it was curious to see who was moving in.

Don't worry too much about it, maybe you could catch it and take it outside or something so it wont be in the house. That way you won't have to kill it. :)

I have a similar problem. Spiders always seem to be right over my head. I can be in a room with one on the ceiling. I'm always too afraid to kill them when they're up high because they always fall since i'm afraid of them. So they end up right over my head and then to make it worse I've had a few instances where they drop. One time I was on the computer and one dropped right next to my hand. Another time there was one the had been following me around my room and ended up over my doorway. Like you I was trapped in there waiting for him to move or to figure a way out. I decided to make a run for it. After I ran through the door I turned around to see the spider on the floor in the doorway! Crazy!! I hate them so much now. I always tell people spiders attack me and no one believes me!

honestly it depends on what kind of spider it was.  it may have been curious  or it may have thought you were a good place to have babies.   either way it's not a good thing for you.  all spider are poisonous.  not all are deadly  but do you really want to take that chance?   go kill it.
