Why would taking an electricity class in high school be beneficial?

Why would taking an electricity class in high school be beneficial? I am writing a paper and i am all out of ideas!

It's important to take courses that are beyond the main subjects areas. So many of us went through school taking the math, social studies, english and science classes. We can all benefit from the elective courses...take a business course, a tech course, an art course...it makes you well rounded and is great for your resume.
