I understand the fact that Melky deserved to be sent down but to call up a guy who doesnt hit at all, that is rediculous!!!

  1. his fast? im not sure either but besides the fact he cant hit his fast and not a bad fielder

  2. Young prospect with a huge upside.......personally i wanted to see Jason Lane or Matt Carson

Gardner has speed and potential but i thought they should have waited until september.

  3. Because he is the future of the Yankees yes it season he cant hit, but the guy  has the speed and when he up earlier this season , he would work the count but not get a Hit, i think the more experience he gets the better he will be

did you see the Threw out that runner

  4. Simply because Melky can't get it down anymore. Gardner can run fast and seems to play the outfield well. Gardner is being put in a situation where he does not know the pitchers and so on. If he starts from day one he'll have a better shot at hitting better next season. Don't count him out yet.

Melky's days are over. Trade bait.

  5. Whether the Yankees want to admit it or not, I think they are setting the table for next season.  This season has been a disaster and it is becoming clearer each day that they are not going anyway.  I agree that Melky has not worked out at all.  He will not be back with the team so why not work the future players?  I think it's a good idea as technically the Yankees are still in the race so let's find out how Gardner handles it.
