Why would the entry into the water or splash or double bounce on the board count ?

  1. the extra bounce shows that either the diver needed more boost or repositioning in order to perform the dive so it leaves room for point deductions. the splash shows how well you're able to follow through with the dive so yeah.

    however, i'm not 100% sure
