Why would the fan in my furnace stay on?

Cooling on the heat pump is off but the fan in my Colman furnace stays on? Only way to shut it off is by the breaker switch. Relay? Please help.

If the fan switch on your thermostat is in the "on" position, the fan will stay on. If this is not the problem, I would label all the low voltage wiring at the furnace, and remove them. Restore power and see of the fan is still a problem. If it is, then I would replace the relay/timing board.If the fan goes off, replace the thermostat or the wiring to the thermostat. Good luck.
