They aren't hurting you at all. Heck, if the Rays are getting bandwagoners, I actually feel more proud of them because people went out of their way to become the fan of the good team they have become. A team's bandwagon fans are directly proportional to how good the team is, so if your team has many bandwagon fans, shouldn't you be at least proud that your team has done something good? Yea I'm feeling in the bandwagon mood. Sorry to my fans:P Plus, I've met many people who have been fans for one team all their life, but still don't know a thing about them.

  1. what up Ay Caramba!

i don't really care about bandwagon jumpers because they don't affect the outcome of baseball games. sometimes, they are annoying because they root for the team, but do not know anything about baseball. but hey, at least having a lot of bandwagon fans can help your team generate revenue (selling tickets, jerseys, merchandise, etc.)!

    - Crazy Celtics Fan (Polite and Respectful)

(edit): Winter Glory should be the Best Answer. those who accuse other people of being bandwagon fans are haters and are probably bandwagon jumpers themselves. a true fan never abandons his/ her team!

  2. I don't have a problem with bandwagon fans except for the fact that they are very often held up as an example of an entire team's fan base.

Unfortunately, i am a fan of a team that has not won a World series since 1908. And because they are now loooking pretty good, there are a good number of these bandwagon fans who are very vocal, but unfortunately, not very intelligent when it comes to the game. because these folks come across as being rather uneducated about the game itself, fans of other teams start to assume that ALL Cubs fans have no clue.

I in no way  mean to brag, but I do actually know a bit about the game.

But, in this forum and in other places, I am very often dismissed as not being very bright because of the reputation that these bandwagon fans have thrust upon me as a Cubs fan.

So while I don't have a problem with bandwagon fans themselves, I do not appreciate the fact that they give the intelligent fans a bad reputation.

  3. I've been called a bandwagon Red Sox fan, a bandwagon Patriots fan, a bandwagon Celtics fan, and now a bandwagon Kyle Busch(nascar) fan.

I'm so used to being called one, I wouldn't know how to react if someone said I wasn't. Now if only the Bruins would win a Cup, I could be a bandwagon Bruins fan, too!!

I don't like fans that jump ship when the weather starts getting rough. I'm from Massachusetts, and I'm loyal to my home teams, win or loose!!

If you're gonna be a fan, be a fan, stay a fan!!

  4. Yes because they make true fans loo like c**p,

  5. Well

sometimes people become a Band wagoner just because their so called "best friend" like the team

Like there is this kid at my school, he knows im a DIE HARD giants fan, so to be cool in front of me he starts talking about the giants and how he loves them so much and he buys a giants gear

its very annoying because he does no like baseball, or the Giants, he is trying to be like everybody else

P.S. he does not even know who WILLIE MAYS is!

    '

EDIT: he is the thing, I cant even make a good conversation with him because he does not follow the Giants, he just acts like he does

  6. Simply Because They Aren't Loyal. Look I May Only Be 14 But I Miss The Days Were The Game Was About Respecting Your Team, And Not Just Caring About Wins. Theres No Pride In Switching

And SF Fan Your Friend Needs To Be Taught A Lesson

  7. No one likes to see someone jump teams. True fans stick to teams through good and bad.
