  1. Because they are two different teams and if you like both you wouldn't really be considered a true fan. But that is just my opinion.

  2. Bcuz there rivals

  3. beacuse they your cross city rivals and pretty sure they dont like you .

  4. I don't get it either BUT, I'm a Cubs fan in Indiana.

Obviously Indiana doesn't have a team so we have Cubs, Cards, Reds & White Sox fans..... then you have the bandwagon Yankee / BoSox fans.

I grew up in a Cubs family but, I also like the White Sox. the ONLY time i root against them is when they play the Cubbies

  5. Because of a little thing called Rivalry. I mean i live in the OC and i go for the Dodgers, and the people here just aren't  having it and always proceed to purposely  talk smack about my team so i can get mad.I like the Angels but first and ALWAYS foremost im a Dodgers fan, so have a little respect.Just because you can run your mouth doesnt mean you should. However i understand your point.

  6. Because of the attention the other team gets.  If one team gets all the attention, they always make the headlines in the sports pages, you always hear about how beloved they are, and your team is treated as the "second" team, the less important and less loved team- how would you feel?  It's like your team just doesn't exist, they're second fiddle.  How would you feel if your team was the "second" team in your city and was overshadowed by another team?

And by the way, having another team in the same city have a world series victory parade is the worst (especially if your team lost said world series).  Think of it- do you want the winner of a prize -you- were competing for to have a victory party in your own house?  Same idea.  At least when other teams win, they actually take the party elsewhere.

That's not even getting into having to work with and deal with fans of your city's other team on a daily basis...
