Why would you have a hamster?

i had one and i thought it was going to be awesome....

but having one was way more work than fun! all you could do with it was hold it and hope it didn't bite you.. and let it run around in a ball....

Because they are a cheap pet and easy to sneak into dorm rooms lol. For the same price I'd buy a few of "fancy mice". They are cute, cheap, and entertaining in groups.

I had one but I didn't know that it was pregnant when I bought it.  Know how I found out?  I came inside one day to find her holding half a baby hamster by the legs.  EEEWWWWW  hope it was yummy.
