...or ask their angel to come and guide them? I thought when you died...you usually see a light and I thought the angels always came to guide you..without your having to ask them to. Seems like ..since they're on the other side and we're not..they would see the light and the angels before we could see them. I just never understood this.

  1. You don't have to show a lost spirit where the light is.  That concept is a figment of someone's imagination that caught on in popular (read: least common denominator) culture.  It is a myth.

You need to read "Light and Death" by Dr. Michael Sabom.

  2. i dont think you can show them, i think they have to want to see it. most times they dont follow cos they dont believe or are not wanting to see..

  3. hmmm, good point there. I guess since we are not dead, we can't know for sure. I figure it this way. Forget what the movies say, and forget all that new age non-sense. The light is what you see when your brain is shutting down.

If heaven is an adjacent dimensional plain, then ascention into heaven would be instant, there would be no light, no glowing staircase (or escalator as that Dolly Parton Christmas special depicts.)

According to the Bible, Jesus told us that judgement is based on the old laws which Moses gave his people.... the Ten Commandments. He went on to say in Matt.5 that one who has hatred in his heart has committed murder, one who even thinks lustfully of another has committed adultery and no thief, liar, or adulterer would come into the kingdom of heaven.

He also tells us that we are all guilty, and thus he would take the punishment we deserved so that we would have a chance to get into heaven with him if we so chose to.

However, I think John Milton sums up many peoples feelings in his epic poem where Satan gives a rousing speech to the angels, "Its better to rule in h**l, then to serve in Heaven!"

  4. Yes, I would agree w/  with the answer before me. We as humans have no authority over peoples souls.   When people die they only have two places to go heaven and h**l.  I suggest to go to u-tube and search 'Heavens Gates, h***s flames.' This is truth of what happens to souls when they die. You can also go to that play in your city.  Its awsome!!

  5. Perhaps the light that you are referring to is the light at the end of the tunnel that are mentioned by people's account of their near-death experience. Generally the souls of the dead go through a journey from our world to the spiritual world, a process known as a "crossover". In simple terms, this can be compared to a baby's journey from the womb to the outside world at the time of its birth. However, not all souls go directly to the other world. Others remain in our world for some time because of some unfinished business or because they are not yet fully aware that they are already dead. Like what the first two answerers have mentioned, we are not in the proper authority to directly guide the lost souls. Their journey to the other world is strictly a personal matter, much like a baby's journey from the womb to our world. The accounts of other relatives helping a soul during the crossover is not true. Although it could be true that a person who is about to die can indeed see the dead relatives, and are said to even invite that person to go with them, the process of the crossover is a lone journey that the soul has to undergo.

  6. Some spirits, usually ones who die violently or suddenly, don't realize that they are dead so are oblivious to the "light" as you call it.  Some that have unfinished business or something to resolve tend to refuse to move to the other side until they get to do that final thing, which may or may not happen.

  7. Maybe when we die it's like that movie "Groundhog Day" where it keeps repeating itself.

And when we "see the light" it's our birth again.

And we do see the same family members again.

    That's my theory anyway.

  8. sometimes they refuse too see it in a sense or refused to be taken an angel of God isn't going to Force or drag him.

  9. because some dont realise they have passed over and they need help to find the light and know its ok to go through it,

  10. Family who has already crossed cannot help the soul to cross, he/she must cross of their own accord. I'm not even sure why, but I heard my angels' voice when I wrote that.

Now, I'm honestly not sure why they wouldn't cross. I do know sometimes they simply don't realize they're dead. Othertimes they refuse to go--I had a small boy once who got lost trying to find his mother and then froze to death. So when me and another psychic friend came across him (I think he was brought to us), he was still waiting for her. We have a couple of children right now doing exactly this, they refuse to cross b/c they're still waiting for momma to come and get them. My friend was alerted to their presence by her spirit guides to that she can help convince them to cross. The hard part about it is that they've waiting for so long that they've become mistrustful and they are very frightened, so they're very agitated. We have to earn their trust first.

But when I help them to cross, I have seen the tunnel home. It's a long dark tunnel with a light at the end of it and often I've found that children are afraid to walk it alone.

I also know that family members already on the other side are waiting for them in the light. I often can see their arms waving through the portal.

Often I'm told I need to say a prayer, and when asking my angels why, I was told it helps ease the transition. So I think an angel will come to guide you if you ask it, but on the whole that maybe angels don't always come to guide you home.

Anyway, these are just my experiences with it, I don't pretend to know everything there is to know about it, but hope it helps some. :)

  11. ever been to busy with something to look up at some one?Same difference...
