Why would you hurt someone fighting for your freedom?

can you help me understand why there a people out there that would kill a returning veteran from Iraq or Afghanistan? Apparently they are "targeted."

really made me pi**off. my boyfriend is coming home in 2 weeks and now i am scared for his safety. yes stupid i know, seeing how i was worried for the past year and now i can be worried once again. i will make him take off his uniform as soon as possible every day.

can you help me understand what these people are thinking?

-i guess they want money and assume military have it-->idiots

-they are against the war and think killing those fighting will stop it. -->which is also idiotic.

What??? You must be extremely young! I remember my little bro complaining about being jumped several times in Panama when he was there for some training jumps with the 82nd Airborne....No war. just training...Poor people are desparate and will attack what they perceive as weak.

My little bro got attacked by Panamanians in a group because he was alone. He felt bad because they didn't know he TAUGHT hand-to-hand fighting and so a four to one them was he wins...He actually felt guilty about hurting some skinny guys...(course he was talking to his big sis...probably described it differently to his buds)

I think that you are getting just a little EMO about him coming back. I am sure like my little bro, he could handle himself against most rip-off artists in the US ---unless he hangs out in guettos and that is his death wish.

Veterans are respected only for individual acts of courage. It is now a FOR-PAY operation..Volunteers who negotiate bonuses...I recently heard they were giving $20,000 sign-ups. If true that will lower respect even more.

By the way, it is idiotic to think someone is for or against the so called WAR if they are a thief! Thieves want money and will take it from the Granny that read them bed-time stories!

this is a fabricated story and prime example of faux news propaganda and misinformation. the main case in question with the marine was not targeted specifically to him because he was a marine, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. if he was wearing any other clothes the crooks would have said, take that you're just a maid, or take that whitey. he had a uniform and that's what they used to talk junk while they did this crime. this is not 'targeting' military. The other examples they used too were not clear cases of violence motivated by politics. Only cases of crimes against military people.

Hannity can't be trusted certainly not in the class war. then he goes on to say protestors clash, there have been protests for 7 years, all he can find is one clash, there are more i assure you. and i've been threatened by military people for speaking my piece in my own private conversation with my friends, so i can only imagine it would be the hawks who would start a fight. there are all sorts of individuals on all sides.

once again you're being fear mongered and they are exaggerating and clearly using misinformation by trying to spin this kids death for political gain, ratings, and to pander to thier audience and what they want to hear.

look at both your suggestions for thier motives. do you really believe that is the case, you think they are bumbling idiots who are motivated by your cartoon sense. You think they thought they were going to stop a war or that they envisioned military guys had lots of money. Why would you assume that is thier plan? I think it's more likely they don't much like any authority or representations of authority. They blame the govt for thier problems and are lashing out.
