My sister hasn't had a period in 100 days. She isn't pregnant. Should we be worried? What could be some explanations? She is just an average weight and she doesn't exercise excessively. She was on birth control until the end of April. Since then she has only had one period.

  1. She needs to go back to a doctor to figure out whats wrong. I haven't had mine since my late 20's but that's b/c of a medical reason. I hope she finds out soon.

  2. go to the doctors, it might be stress? or there might be some sort of a problem going on that needs to be checked out.

  3. yea def go to a doctor. i have a friend whos period just completely stopped... she has a lot of health problems and one of them are cysts on her ovaries. and she can't have kids

  4. when you are on the pill you are giving your body the hormones it needs to have a period, and your body adjusts to the amount of hormones it is given. when you go off the pill your body must start making the hormones again, and it can take a little while before it starts making the hormones in the proper amounts again. it can take up to a year after going off the pill for a woman's hormones to regulate themselves and regulate her period again. that is why you should be off the pill for about a year before really trying to conceive a child, because everything gets really irregular when you go off the pill.

she should ask the gynecologist who put her on the pill if she is really worried about it, but it's only something to worry about after 6 months or so
