Why would you pee on a jellyfish sting?

I hear that you should pee on a jellyfish sting, should it ever happen. What reason is that? Because if there is ever a chance of getting stung, I'd rather have that one specific chemical, or something. Getting peed on is degrading...

  2. its because the wee has amonia and that chages the ph of the jelly sting to neutral.... i think lol

  3. Who cares if it works or not when else will you ever have the opportunity to pee on a friend. Someone I know has athletes foot and he was told to pee on it to help it kill the infection. He was to scared to try it so I offered but he wouldnt let me. Who knows if it really works or not.

  5. In an emergency, peeing is necessary, it nuetralizes the jellyfish's toxins.
