Why would you use Ubuntu or another form or Linux?

Question

I mean to make things simle you need a Windows OS on the system already to run the installation wizard right? So why would you really go to the effort of running another OS?

You don't need windows to run Ubuntu, it gives you that option so that you could try it out if you just want to take a look at it, and decide if you want to install it and use it instead of using windows, the reason you people use ubuntu because its stable, its more efficient, its much secure and its free, and there rae lot of great application, i suggest you take a look at it and try to install it, Mepis Linux is also a great alternative.

No, windows is not simple.  Have you ever looked at Server 2003 or the dreaded Server 2008?

I do love red hat, its secure and the RHN feature.  Fantastic.  Oh, its way cheaper than Windoze.

You obviously don't know much about Linux, so you definitely don't want to bother. M$ and windoze are your cup of tea!!!!
