  1. Because Palin had to ask what a VP does.  Her degree was in journalism.  She thinks creationism should be taught in public schools, which would be establishing a state religion, which is prohibited by the Constitution.  The VP takes over for the president if need be.  Since the president swears to protect and defend the Constitution, she should be familiar with it.  George W. has been reported to have said it is just a god dammed piece of paper, when told that parts of the Patriot Act violated the Constitution.  The Constitution is more lasting and more important than the views of a tempoary president.  It is meant to protect us from abuses of power.

  2. so was clinton,carter etc.

  3. Obama has all of the qualifications needed to be VP and he wasn't even a governor.

  4. Because having only 18 months experience governing a state with a population and budget smaller than Brooklyn, NY isn't the level of "executive experience" that we need to back up McCain.

Anyhoo, Mitt Romney, Charlie Crist, Tim Pawlenty, and Tom Ridge ALL were or are governors.

  5. And, by the same token, so was the Republican's favorite whipping Prez, Jimmy Carter.

  6. So was Mitt Romney, Charlie Crist, Tim Pawlenty, and Tom Ridge
