Why wouldn't my DVR record the Olympics last night?

Last night I wanted to record the swimming relay where Michael Phelps won his eighth gold medal. In the program guide it was blank where the Olympics should have been, and when I pressed record it wouldn't record. Also there was a rating block on the program. I could record all other channels, so is the cable company trying to prevent me from recording this historic event?

If your DVR was set for series recordings it more likely didn't record at weird times or didn't record at all, my DVR does stupid things like that too.

Its more likely the provider, you may want to contact your provider to see whats going on or get them to reset the box.
