Why yahoo yellow page is not correct on milage?

Question

When I'm at work I like to use Yahoo as my home page, information search, especially when trying to find the closest location to a specific business or resident. But when I put in the information in mapquest it turns up as being almost 50 miles over the miles that yahoo gives. I'm not understanding why.
