there may not be alot of steamed choices but u can certainly ask the waitor or waitress if there r any steamed foods that r available and if not u can certainly suggest something made steamed

usually they dont mind if u ask

they usually dont charge u extra and give it at a reasonable price

as stated before, steamed is really not part of Indian cuisine.  the closest thing to steamed is stewed. it's probably b/c they like to use alot of spices and steaming just doesn't allow a lot of spices in recipes

It is not part of the cuisine.  Maybe if you ask for Boiled Food , you might be able to get the chef to make steamed vegetables for you. Good luck.
