Question:

Why you should only draft your team in late August-September...?

Here are some reasons why you should draft your team in late August to early September (not early August or July);

- Rudi Johnson got cut: you mighta spent a middle round pick on him

- Steve Smith out 2 games: 3rd to early 4th round pick in leagues drafting before the news came out

- Brandon Marshall: leagues drafting early overpaid, leagues drafting when his suspension was 3 games underpaid, now it's one game.

- Brett Favre coming to the Jets; changes Jets whole fantasy value, sucks for leagues drafted before the news came out

- Also, standard public leagues that drafted in July are extremely inactive by now; have fun playing in that league or trying to make trades. The later a league drafts, the more active is for the most part.

That's why you draft late not early... what do you guys think about this?

  1. is this a question or a soap box rant? i agree w/ some of your points but, this stuff can happen in week 3, guys can get hurt driving to the game & teams will quit on you by week 1 just like they can a month before the season.

    stay out of public leagues & surround yourself w/ true fantasy gals & guys that play til the end win or lose.

  2. I made my team in July and August and asked one of those very questions, im happy u have given me this info thx
