Why you trust mass-media?

Dear people, Mass-Media deceiving you. Georgia has started bombardment of their own territories and broke their promise. There're 1400 dead civilians in South Ossetia already. Mass-Media hide the whole fact. Scenes that contain military equipment also belong to Georgia.

Open your eyes! Don't you see that? Look at this really!

Yes it is deceiving us but not for the reason the poster above suggests. We are being led down the garden path by the media.

The media is owned and controlled by the same elites who control our foreign policy. We are not being told what they don't want us to know. For reasons know to them, we have intentionally provoked Russia using Georgia as proxy. We are being told otherwise because we would not support it if we knew the truth.

Get your news about the conflict from independent media or foreign media. I read here this morning that some (not all) of the UK media is being honest about the conflict. Try reading there.

I don't trust the mass media of the U.S. My chief source of news since 1949 has been English language short wave radio. I've learned one important lesson from that practice. Europe is a tableau of ancient hatreds which reappeared after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire or the Soviet Empire. And my message to that continent is a simple one: Clean up your room!

Who believes the mass media?  No one I know does.

That's why no one pays attention.  The truth is never spoken, so why listen?

This happens all the time, South Ossettia declares independence, Georgia refuses, and sends in the military. The only thing diffrent is the Russian military presence.

Mass media, like all ways is bending the truth to fit what people want (or don't want to hear) to get more costumers.

Yeah, the Russians are friendly. They'd never do anything mean to anyone.
