Zoom-Nikkor ED-IF Lens with Hood -Black Finish - 5 Year Nikon U.S. is either out of stock/backordered for so long by so many resellers?

Nikon couldn't keep up with demand as of last year with the introduction of the D300. Now that the D3 and D700 are also available, everybody wants this high end zoom to go with their new high end body.

Either get on a waiting list or pay a premium.
