Whys my balloon mollys belly getting so big?

i have a silver tattoed balloon molly-- no male

she is getting ginormous

why------please be serious, im not asking for smarta#$ answers

How long have you had her? Even though you don't have a male, she could have gotten pregnant at the store.

Mollys are live baring fish and constantly have babies just like guppies do.  She will soon have her babies, but after she does she may die because most mollies die after a large birth because of stress on their organs, but you will have plenty of new baby mollys.

when did you buy her?  She might've been pregnant when you bought her.

Not only do live bearers get pregnant at the store but they can save sperm untill they need it and then all of a sudden you have little ones swimming around the tank

Now, she was most likley with other male fish at the pet store. and is pregnant. I also have to tell you that no, the dyed part of her will not pass on to her young.

how long have you had the female balloon molly she could have been pregnant when you got her , female fish can hold sperm inside them  for up to 6 months hope this helps u out and good luck

Well like some other livebearers, mollies could store sperm. She could be preggers. If so, buy a net breeder or put her in another tank.

Another thing that it could be, is dropsy, if her scales are popping and her stomach is bloated, that is a deadly sign. Take a closer look just in case. If it's gotten to this point, unfortunately it is too late.
