Whyy won't my fujifilm finepix a350 digital camera turn on ?

when i press the on button and attempt to turn it on. the green light flashes and then that's it. it worked fine the other day. any suggestions ?

I had the same problem , turned out to be the l shaped tab on the sliding battery door had snapped off. The tab activates the camera micro switch to let the camera know it is secure to start .
