The psychopathic terrorist JOKER in the movie THE DARK KNIGHT said that was what his alcoholic father said to him as a child before slitting both his cheeks open with a knife.

The slits healed into two big nasty scars which gave the young Joker a permanent smile.  So his father said to him as the father was beating his mother to a bloody pulp:  Why so serious?  Sliiiiiiiitt!
