Wi-Fi connection more than use for internet?

Is it possible to (a) print something or (b) share files with another laptop, if my laptop recieves wi-fi internet which is connected to the printer and the other laptop recieves wi-fi internet from that PC too??

  1. Wifi is just a "replacement" for a network cable, so anything you can do on an ethernet cable can be done on the wireless!

    To enable LOCAL network the following has to be done on each unit.

    1. Set the Workgroup to the same name on each machine.

    2. Turn on File and Printer Sharing

    3. Share the devices you want shared, printers and folders!

    4  -- Use your network!

    And it really doesn't matter whether this is wired or wireless they are both connected!


  2. Yes, Wifi is just a local network. You can do all the usual things you can do on a LAN.
