From what i have been reading, if i use wi-fi at home i wont get charged.

But what happens when im not at home, what places offer free wi-fi?

Also, how do know when im getting charged for using wifi?

Is there a way to avoid your cell phone from accessing the internet when you have to pay for the service?

  1. Places that offer Wi-fi are Mcdonalds, Starbucks, Big Boys and places like that. Sometimes you can pickup wi-fi signals from houses around town, but some people require a password to use it.There is not a way to keep your cell phone from accesing the internet when you would be charged, sorry. Make sure your phone uses Wi-fi first of all. All of them don't. :-)

  2. You won't get charged for wi-fi unless the place you are accessing it from charges.  You wouldn't be able to connect if you needed to get a passcode first, so if you can access it, then go ahead and enjoy free wifi!  They carrier won't charge you for it just the place you are accessing it from, just like if you were using wifi on a laptop.
