Wi-fi- will my computer c**p up if i change to wep security?

i want to know whether my internet will need reset and all that jazz if i change my security settings from wpa to wep???

You'll need to change the configuration of your pc to use the WEP key rather than the WPA key as it won't work otherwise!

WPA and WEP work the same way, both use encryption codes.

It will not effect your 'Computer', but each PC Must know the codes of the wireless rooter, otherwise you will obviously not be able to connect to it.

Usually a simple passphrase is used like : Jamesbond Or TRVYUGTF.

From that word, an encryption key is generated, turned into about 16 bits.
