  1. corn snake...l have one

  2. I have a leopard  gecko and i use a basic 10-15 gallon  tank and he is very happy i feed him crickets and a rock to lay under with drift wood and a fake tree. For bedding i use coconut shavings. I hope this explains it   all.

  3. cornsnake is a little nippy in my experience but a good pet and a crested gecko is jumpy they make superman leaps all over and climb walls. personally id go for the gecko and name him spiderman :P

  4. I thought you're a herpetologist in training? you should know the answer then. a herpetologist in training means you're in college at least pursuing your bachelor's degree in biology, in preparation of your masters in herpetology, which I highly doubt. you can't even spell herpetologist, that's what's funny

  5. snake.

  6. it's up to you

I have both a corn snake and a crested gecko.

both are very different.both are more active at night. You have to ask your self if your ready to give mices to a corn snake ( that are pre-killed ideally ,but you can also give live mices.).If you don't want to give live food to your pet , crested geck can eat crested gecko diet.it will give it a balance diet.

also like other people wrote you. Crested gecko are very jumpy when i handle mine they always try to jump on my harm or on my hands.they need a hygrometre to watch the humidity that need to be around 70%.

what i like about my corn snake( it's a hatchling)is when it crawl around my fingers .

both are easy to take care of. i suggest you to make research for care sheet on the net for both species it can helps you take your decision!

remember both can live till about 20 years they are lifetime pet.

here are some website on corns and crested gecko to help you choose between the two.
