Alpine for sure. Don't go by the higher watts but comparing MTX to Alpine, well Alpine takes the cake, easily.

Your probably looking at the Type-R 15's? 750RMS DVC 2 or 4 ohm?

If you are looking at the 15 R's. I recommend the 12"s. If you have two 12" Type-R's they will be better than two 15's. I had one twelve R and one 15". The 12" ROASTED the 15. It was too d**n slow and the 12 was good all around.

I would go with the alpines just do to the higher watts. plus the price is better. but the things about mtx is that they are old skool good. which means they will last longer then the alpines would. plus im pretty sure mtx the just a reccommend rms im sure they will hit harder then that. just go with what you like such as design.

mtx has lost alot of its glory, if i was looking for a quality sub, i would pass the alpines and look at kickers solo baric L7's, save your cash and get those with a nice amp, it will be a little more than those prices for the subs alone but if you want the best, look at those, they hit 750 rms as well
