  1. cheese sandwich or the tuna that my mom makes.

  2. Have  to agree with Gary S, I'm afraid, -provided they're TOASTED BLT's...  just something about that combination of flavours.

However, Howard Johnson did a mean toasted clam sandwich, in days of yore..... made a change on a hot day in the Mojave Desert.

And now, back in UK there's a lot going for a plain scouse "eggie Butty" or even a toasted bacon butty when the palate's jaded.

  3. Meatballs and cheese

  4. squire fancies the bacon, lettuce, and tomato, nothing is better after a joust!

  5. I guess the world's most expensive sandwich will get the crown of "King of Sandwiches." Some of the finest ingredients from around the world have been used to create this fabulous sandwich. The McDonald sandwich - named after its creator Scott McDonald, the chef at London department store Selfridges - is said to be the world's most expensive with a price tag of £85 ($169 US).

The ingredients of the sandwich are: Wagyu beef, fresh lobe foie gras, black truffle mayonnaise, brie de meaux, rocket, red pepper and mustard confit and English plum tomatoes. Wagyu cattle are one of the most expensive breeds in the world. The Japanese cows are raised on a special diet, including beer and grain. They are supposed to be regularly massaged with sake, the Japanese rice wine, to tenderize the flesh.

  6. Hot pastrami on rye with a kosher pickle!

  7. Patty Melt. (not necessarily in that order)

  8. avocado and prawn on malted brown bread.... very very closely followed by a BLT.  Heavy on the mayo in either case.
