Wide receiver patterns?!?

this is my first year playing football as a wide receiver. will someone please tell me what each of these mean:

4-12 back to 10yrds curl

5-12 back to 10 out

6-10yd to the post

7-10yd to the flag

My guess is the first number is the number that the route is called so if you are running a 7 its the 10yd to the flag, as far as the routes go...

4 - run 12 yards then curl back to 10 yards

5 - run 12 yards then cut back to the 10 and head towards the sideline

6 - run ten yards then make a 45 degree cut to the goalpost

7 - same thing as 6 except make the cut to the flag or the corner of the endzone
