My Ford Ranger used as a passenger car takes a 225/75R15. I have 4 on sale I can get 235/70R15.

A little wider and a little lower. Right? Any reason not to buy?

Its Hankook Mileage Plus which carrier a good recommendation from Consumer Reports.

  1. There will be very little difference in height, and your speedo maybe off by 1 mph or 2 at 60 mph,

The tire height(sidewall) on the 225/75 is 168.75 mm

On the 235/70 its 164.5mm, Not that big of a difference,

The difference is slightly larger than an 1/8th inch......

You will have absolutely no problem with this tire, and you wouldntt notice the difference in size

  2. Load index is identical (P225/75R15 102S vs. P235/70R15 102S) so no problem.

  3. I would bet they are real close to same diameter and I would go ahead and buy them.

  4. I think you'd better read the *real costumer reviews on that tire on: tirerack.com The very first user of this very tire claims they are totally worthless in the snow and are very noisy.
