Widescreen videos, how do I determine if my video is widescreen, I'm selling on ebay ?

I have a video listed and the buyer wants to know if it is "widescreen" Sorry I don't know, but it would say widescreen on it if it was, wouldn't it ? I don't even know what widescreen is, can you tell my age ?

Most dvds, as well as older VHS will have what format the film is in, on the back, next to the films rating. Sometimes only giving you a ratio of 2.34:1 or 16:9 or other.

Or i will be on the DVD itself, on the front of the case; saying  "Widescreen Edition" or such,
